Lisa MacDonaldLisa MacDonald created and facilitated her first esteem/empowerment group for girls called It’s a Girl Thing in 2007. Since then, she has devoted over 8 years to It’s a Girl Thing groups within her educational context. She completed her Master of Arts in Educational Foundations from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2014. In researching her thesis, she learned how education can be a means to finding one’s self and how self-love is crucial to being able to navigate relationships and be at one’s best.
Me, My Selfie, and I shares the key lessons that she has refined through working with girls in educational contexts for close to twenty years. Lisa continues to work as an administrator in education. She lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with her daughter, Elizabeth. |
